Please welcome baby "Opal"! She is a wee preemie for 2014! Baby Opal is an orginal creation by me Sherry Bowden. Some of the photos below are of the original sculpture but the silicone cast is identical. Baby is cast in a custom Platinum silicone with a durometer of approximately 30. She is highly detailed and lifelike in all regards! She has the cutest lil' sweet sleeping face and need I say cutest lil' bum ever! Baby is a HALF TORSO solid silicone baby with 3/4 arms! She is NOT a full bodied silicone. Her lower half is solid silicone while her upper chest area is cloth. This gives baby lots of additional posing options over a full silicone! Baby Opal weighs approximately 2 pounds when assembled. Baby is approximately 14.5" in lenght with legs as possed approximately 14". She has a head circumference of 10". She is an open edition however I do not anticipate more than 30-40 worldwide depending on her mold longevity. She will eventually be a limited edition baby as the molds have only a limited number of castings, and once her molds become unusable...she will obviously no longer be in production. Your kit will come with a custom made 1/2 upper body slip, pre-painting prep sets, a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
This is for a kit deposit only! There is a 2 kit per person limit. Her total price (including a custom made body slip) is $325.00 PLUS actual shipping. The minimum of $75.00deposit is required to hold your order in place. You will be billed for the balance within 3 months of the deposit or when your order is completed. Layaway is available. See details below. Please note that all orders are custom made and so all deposits/payments are nonrefundable/nontransferable-NO EXCEPTIONS.
Your kit will be packaged and shipped to you direct from the mold. I will include 4 simple prep step instructions with your kit that you must do prior to painting/reborning your baby Opal kit. She will contain a release agent that must be removed.
She was sculpted with a closed mouth...however it can easily be opened to accept a Wee Thumbie or modified pacifier (not included). I do not do this on kit orders. However, if you wish for me to open the mouth prior to shipping for you... there is an additional service fee of $25.00. It is not difficult to do, however it is time consuming. You will need to request this additional service in the comment section of your payment.

I am flexible on layaway terms after the deposit is made. I do ask that order is paid in full (including shipping fees) within 90 days of the deposit. I prefer monthly installments on your account...however...You may extend one final payment. The choice is yours once the deposit is paid.
PLEASE NOTE: Orders are finished in the order they are PAID...not received...so paid in full orders will take priority. If for any reason production should cease....your account deposit/payments will be returned/refunded to you in full.
